These Terms are the agreement between you and Farra Micro-Mobility (Baghdad, Iraq) for the Farra app and bike-rental service. By creating an account or taking a ride, you accept them. You must be 16 or older to ride.
The key points: ride safely and legally, stay inside the service zones, pay for the time you ride, and treat the bikes well. We keep the service running and improve it using operational telemetry — never advertising.
01The service and your licence
Farra provides pedal-powered bike rental through the Farra app within designated geofenced service zones in Baghdad. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on a device you own or control, solely to use the service under these Terms.
You must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the app’s source code; transfer or resell your account; interfere with the service, its locks, QR codes, or geofences; or use the service for any unlawful purpose. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no obligation to provide support for the app.
02Eligibility and your account
To ride with Farra you must:
- Be at least 16 years old. We verify age at registration and may suspend accounts that do not meet this requirement.
- Register with accurate information (name, phone number, and date of birth) and keep your login credentials confidential.
- Be physically able to ride a bicycle safely. One rider per bike — no passengers.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account. Tell us immediately at hello@gofarra.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
03Riding safely and legally
Every ride is subject to these rules:
- Follow Iraqi traffic laws and ride only where cycling is permitted. Wear a helmet where available and required.
- Stay inside the marked service zones shown in the app. Rides must start and end inside an allowed zone; the lock may refuse to close outside it, and the ride — and its charges — continue until the bike is properly locked in a valid zone.
- Park only in marked parking areas. Never block footpaths, ramps, entrances, or roads.
- Inspect the bike before riding (tyres, brakes, lock). Do not ride a damaged bike — report it in the app instead.
- Never tamper with the lock, QR code, solar panel, or tracking hardware. Tampering may lead to suspension and liability for repair costs.
04Fees and payments
Rides are charged for the time between unlock and confirmed lock, at the rates shown in the app before you ride. A short grace period after unlocking is free, as displayed in the app.
Payment is taken through the method you set up (Qi Card, Zain Cash, or Apple Pay / Google Pay where available). You authorize us and our payment providers to charge that method for your rides, including any applicable fees, fines passed on from authorities, or damage costs under these Terms. If a charge fails, we may retry it and suspend riding until it is settled. Prices may change; the price shown before each ride always applies to that ride.
05Damage, loss, and fines
You are responsible for the bike from unlock until confirmed lock. Reasonable wear is on us; damage from misuse, negligence, or rule-breaking — and traffic fines incurred during your ride — are on you, and may be charged to your payment method. Lost or stolen bikes must be reported immediately; failure to report may result in the replacement cost being charged.
06Availability and changes
We work to keep bikes available, but we do not guarantee a bike will be free at any given place or time, and the service may be paused for weather, safety, maintenance, or events. We may update the app; some updates may be required to keep riding.
07Suspension and termination
We may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that:
- Break these Terms or the law.
- Damage bikes, tamper with hardware, or commit fraud or payment abuse.
- Endanger others or repeatedly park outside valid zones.
- You may stop using Farra any time, and you may permanently delete your account from the app (Profile → Delete account permanently) or via the guide at gofarra.com/delete-account. Outstanding charges remain payable.
08Liability
You ride at your own risk and are responsible for riding safely. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Farra is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for rides in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Iraqi law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
09Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Iraq. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion with our team at hello@gofarra.com; failing that, the competent courts of Baghdad shall have jurisdiction.
10Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that means you accept them. The current version always lives at gofarra.com/terms. Questions: hello@gofarra.com.
